XSCode creates a sustainable way to develop and use open source, by offering open source developers, and developers who use open-source a commercial setting. XSCode delivers a simple and clear way to ensure developers are compensated for their open source work and companies get access to a better, frequently maintained code – all while keeping the code open and free for the benefit of the open source community (“Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to two types of users. A developer user who holds a valid legal right to license source code under the terms of their choice (“Developer User") and a customer user who would like to use the Service to obtain a license to use the source code (“Customer User”, collectively "users"). XSCode's Services allows Developer Users the ability to license their source code for a certain fee to Customer Users, as described under XSCode's Terms of Service available at:

Collecting Information

Please note that the scope of this Privacy Policy is limited only to information collected by XSCode through your use of its Services. Some information may be automatically collected, and some is collected when you interact with our Website. The type of information that may be automatically collected is non-personal information, which includes your session durations, the content you accessed on the Website, the frequency and scope of your use of the Website and information about your computer and internet connection including the operating system you use and browser type.

Information from which you can be personally identified may also be collected, including but not limited to your name, email address and the location of the computer through which you used the Services (hereinafter: “Personal Information”). Personal Information shall be collected only if received voluntarily from you, including, without limitation, when you create an account or provide us your Github account to use the Services.

Account profile

If you register to use the Service, we will create a user account for you. We will collect your Personal Information such as your email address to create your own account profile. Please note, that once an account has been created for you, any information you provide in the account registration process will be made public to other users in the open source community we have created which is available via the Services. Please note that your account profile information may be made available to all types of users of our Services, as well as other visitors of the XSCode’s website. Furthermore, such information may also be made available on various third party vendor websites, if XSCode has chosen to collaborate with such third party vendors, to endorse the open source community.

If you are a Developer User, we will collect your Github account information which includes, without limitation:

  1. Information about your repositories: the date of which repositories were created, published, and last synced as well as information on the price, Customer Users- subscribers, revenue, the sum payed to you and to your contributors and actions made with respect to your repositories.
  2. Information regarding active subscriptions : your name and description of the subscription such as features it includes, hosting or any other services you wish to offer, license type, price, subscription period and actions made with respect to your subscription.
  3. Information about contributors: their name, description, license, subscribers, commits and revenue.
  4. Create an organization: if you wish to create an organization via the Services we will collect your name, website, public email, location and information describing your organization.
  5. Information of your organization: if applicable, we will collect your organization’s name, your role in your organization, description, website, members and actions made.
  6. Billing information: we will also collect your billing information and information regarding the payout method you chose to use to be provided with the Services.
  7. Rating Information: our Services include providing professional rating scores for developers who are active in the source code community (“rated developers”), while making such ratings and developer information (which was made publically available), available to all of our users. If you are a rated developer, we will collect your Personal Information which was made publicly available and will rate your activities based on your demonstrated performance. We will then make such information and our rating scores available to our users. Such information includes, without limitation, your name, your Github profile name, your area of expertise which we analyze based on your contributions, your location if such was provided when registering to Github, the year you registered to become a Github user, the Github followers you have and the libraries which your code contributions were made to. Furthermore, our Services include a feature which enable our users to reach out to such rated developers and communicate with them. For this purpose, we may send you a request to communicate via email which is initiated by our users who wish to communicate with you. All communications between users and rated developers will be collected and processed by XSCode. If you are a rated developer, please note that this privacy policy applies to our processing of your Personal Information.
  8. Newsletter Updates: if you wish to receive our newsletter for our latest updates, promotions and events, you may check the box available on the Website page and we will send you our newsletter updates. If, at any point, you would like to withdraw your consent and stop receiving our newsletter, you may notify us by writing to [email protected]
  9. Information collected via the chat feature: we enable our users to communicate via our chat feature. We will collect all the information submitted by users via such chat feature to assure the feature proper operation and that our users do not provide information that may cause them harm in any manner.

Use of information

We use the Personal Information we collect from you for a range of different business purposes according to different legal bases of processing. We may use or process your Personal Information for the following purposes. One or more purposes may apply simultaneously.

    • We conduct surveys and research, test features in development, and analyze the information we have to evaluate and improve our Services, develop new features, and conduct audits and troubleshooting activities.

  3. Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment

    We may use your information to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents in the following ways:

    • Verify and authenticate your identity and prevent unauthorized or illegal activity;
