h1. Example of Native Script Plugin for Elasticsearch

h2. Important Deprecation Note

p. Please note that native scripts were "deprecated in v5.5.0":https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/24692 and "removed in v6.0.0":https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/24726. Consider migrating your native scripts to the ScriptEngine. Please see "elastic/elasticsearch#24726":https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/24726 for more information.

h2. Introduction

p. This plugin contains a few examples of "native script":https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/modules-scripting-native.html for Elasticsearch.

p. Please make sure to use the correct branch of this repository that corresponds to the version of elasticsearch that you are developing the plugin for.

|. Example Plugin Branch |. Elasticsearch | | "master":https://github.com/imotov/elasticsearch-native-script-example | 5.4.0 | | "5.3":https://github.com/imotov/elasticsearch-native-script-example/tree/5.3 | 5.3.1 | | "2.x":https://github.com/imotov/elasticsearch-native-script-example/tree/2.x | 2.x.x | | "2.0":https://github.com/imotov/elasticsearch-native-script-example/tree/2.0 | 2.0.x | | "1.x":https://github.com/imotov/elasticsearch-native-script-example/tree/1.x | 1.x.x |

p. To build the example use @./gradlew [email protected] on linux and mac or @gradlew.bat [email protected] on Windows. The assembled plugin can be found in the @build/[email protected] directory. Follow the "elasticsearch instruction":https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/current/plugin-management-custom-url.html to install the plugin.
